If you are looking for Hindi films with the most positive reviews, Om Shanti Om is an excellent place to start. Developed by Yash Raj Films, this Indian film tells the story of Om Prakash Makhija who strives to be a successful actor in Bollywood. His journey takes him through one fantastic musical number after another as he travels from being a nobody to becoming one of India's most celebrated actors. Om Shanti Om was released on October 18th 2007 and has won multiple awards, including six Filmfare Awards which are considered India's top awards for films. It's available on DVD with English subtitles. Om Shanti Om is a film about the hardships of acting. The character of Om Prakash Makhija, portrayed by Abhishek Bachchan, struggles to break into the industry as an actor in spite of his humble origins which are shown throughout the movie. He has to work his way up from being at the bottom of the ladder to being one of the most sought after actors in Bollywood. And it is through this journey that he finds out who he is, what he likes and what he wants for himself. This film contains songs which are all very positive and upbeat which make you feel good when you view them. It is a film filled with color, song and dance. The music in this movie is another very strong point. The music is filled with vibrant colors and emotions. I would recommend this movie to fans of musicals, since it contains plenty of musical numbers that are all very powerful. Although Om Prakash Makhija may seem like a very simple man who doesn't know what he wants, the fact that he has the energy to keep trying in spite of all the rejections makes him one of the strongest characters in India's film history. He fights for his career without losing sight of his dream, and eventually triumphs in spite of all obstacles which make this story an excellent piece of drama. This film begins with the death of Om's father who has just returned to India from the United States. Om is at his father's side as he breathes his last breath. When asked what he wants for himself, his only response is "I want to see him", meaning he wants to see Amitabh Bachchan, an actor who has died many years before. After his father has passed away, it is revealed that he was not at all who he claimed to be, but instead an imposter. He had taken on the identity of a leading actress named Bhairavi, also played by Deepika Padukone. With the appearance of an imposter, it is also revealed that all the years Om Prakash Makhija had been acting were a false facade. He is an honest man who was pretending to be a person he never was in order to get ahead. Om's journey through Bollywood begins after he gets a job as a waiter in a restaurant run by his step-brother, who used to work for Amitabh Bachchan. After Om tells him he will no longer work for him, Amitabh Bachchan rescues Om from his step-brother and takes him under his wing as his assistant. cfa1e77820
