Edius Aurora Craft By Mariah Alarcón Flamboyant colors flare across the screen as stars collide with pulsating rhythm. A ray of golden sunshine reflects off an ocean of sparkling dark liquid. This is the essence of Edius Aurora, a flavor that began with one man's passion for crafting artisanal cigar blends. With that same passion, he drew in cigar smokers from across the globe with his unique flavor combinations and three-masted ships on which to sail them. Though most have long since left this life behind due to their own mortality, our fearless leader has continued his quest for smoke-infused waters and world domination in Edius Aurora Craft cigars like no other company before him. Though Edius has met his end, his legacy lives on in our hands. Cigar lovers will always have a rare treat to celebrate with any one of the many blends in their humidors, whether they are an original release or a special release. If you're lucky enough to be visiting our hideout, there's not much I can do to prepare you for this shock—if you're not using an iPad or other tablet-like device, you may want to consider getting one before continuing this journey into the cigar world. Edius' persistence was evident in every aspect of the craftable cigars he designed and released over the years. From his meticulous attention to detail in cigar packaging, to the way his name was shown throughout the entire line. Edius designed all of his cigars to be not only beautiful, but functional for enjoying them while they are smoked. The inspiration for all of this came from his love for sailing, which he shared with us in an interview conducted during our next ascent into this world. Q: Is Edius Aurora your real name? Why did you decide to use it? A: My name is Edius Aurora, and I simply wanted to create a name with similarity similarity to my favorite constellation in the night sky: The Northern Crown Star, or Polaris in Latinized form: Vega [pronounced veg-uh]. Q: Where did you grow up? A: I was born and raised in Canada, though my parents were from the USA. We moved to the USA when I was around 8 years old. My mother always told me stories of how she and my father first met as children on the playground, and apparently they didn't like each other at first. They spent their lives thinking about each other until they found each other again as young adults; then they fell deeply in love and got married. This is why I believe that no matter what, we're all destined to be with our true soulmate for eternity—that's why you're only supposed to be with one person for your entire life. Q: How did you decide on your job? A: I went to college for traditional medicine, but it didn't fit my passion. I then decided to join the Navy to see the world and make change. But after seeing how terrible things were out there, I realized that I could make a real difference if I could enlighten people's minds through art, music, or even cigars.
